Key Messages:

First Futsal is our own club program run for 5 to 7 year old children on Monday evenings based around skill development (10 – 15 minutes) and small sided games (30– 35 minutes). We will need parents to help with, or run, this program.

Based on feedback we will not be holding trials for U9 to U13 but will seek to keep teams from Term 1 together as much as practical while allowing for non-returning and new players. We will look to accommodate as many parent requests for team placements as possible.

Coaching:

All teams (U9, U11,U13) are parent coached and/or managed and these coaches are responsible for training and game night logistics. This time, rather than having WaiBOP coaches assist with training nights, we are encouraging parents intending on coaching in Term 4 to do the Level 1 Coaching course WaiBOP is running on the 14th September (cost of this is met by our Club).

Training Nights:

Weekly training will be held at The Peak (Rototuna High School). Due to player numbers training will be split across two nights; Monday’s for First Futsal, U9 and U11; Tuesday’s for U13. Training sessions will run for 55 minutes (5:35pm to 6:30pm) and (6:30pm to 7.25pm) allowing 5 minutes either side for court set-up and pack-down.

Equipment

All U9-U13 players are required to provide their own Nike blue shorts and socks – same worn for NUSC winter football – and available from the SoccerShop. All players, including First Futsal, must wear shin-pads during all training and games.

Fees

Fees for Term 4 are $40 for First Futsal and $90 for U9 to U13. Fees cover Peak hire ($40 per court per hour) for training, WaiBOP Affiliation fees (which include court hire and referees for Friday nights), coaching fees, training equipment, shirt hire and administration fees.

Competition Venues:

Probable venues are The Peak (U9), Fraser High (U11) and either (or both) Hillcrest High and Hamilton Boys High (U13).

Feel free to send any questions or parent requests for team placements you have to Futsal.NUSC@gmail.com and we will endeavour to get a response to you within 24 – 48 hours.
